We stopped at Grand Falls, that neither of us had seen before, despite having been (literally) down that road before. It was brisk, and very pretty, and I picked up squirty bath toys that have been popular bath time candidates since we that day. We continued on a little way, in order to reach our true NB goal:
Covered Bridge is our family’s favourite chip brand, hands-down, and although we can buy the chips for the same price as the factory at our local grocery store, we figured it might be fun to try out all their experimental flavours in the little shakers. Definitely an interesting experience, and nothing beats snacking on fresh-fried chips!
After that, we headed back to Quebec, for some quality family time, and lots of walks by the lake and along the boardwalk.
Not many pictures, but it’s a very pretty town, and it was nice to just kind of relax and wander around on foot. The campground we stayed at was right on the lake and was actually closed for the season, but they let us stay until they needed to shut off the water — now that’s hospitality!
After Cabano, we started heading back west, with our first homeward stop being in Quebec City…
